I’ve spent 24 years as Head of Finance for an SME manufacturing company in the heart of England — but SYSPRO has always been the passion project running quietly (and occasionally loudly) alongside my day job.

During COVID, I stumbled across the SYSPRO LearnIt platform and — well — that was it. What began as a professional tool turned into something more: a genuine love for how SYSPRO can transform a business when it’s in the right hands, with the right mindset, and a bit of blue sky thinking. It’s endlessly customisable, brilliantly capable, and with a bit of patience, you can make it sing.

One of my proudest was for a marine-sector client. We linked SYSPRO to a marine tracking API, so we could see exactly where vessels who had purchased from us were heading next. That let us proactively reach out to ship superintendents and offer consumables and machine support — at just the right time, in just the right port. Smart, simple, and brilliantly effective.

More recently, I’ve been working on embedding sustainability into SYSPRO — from tracking your carbon footprint to adding messaging to invoices and delivery notes. Because better data leads to better business, and better business should leave a lighter footprint.

I’m not here to hand over a one-size-fits-all solution. I’m here to collaborate, guide, teach, troubleshoot, and occasionally untangle things that have been frustrating people for years.
